Experienced regional manager Johan O’Connell moves from South Africa to commence the position of Managing Director of Australia and Papua New Guinea.
Johan originally joined the SGS Group through the acquisition of Lakefield Research Africa Laboratories in 2003 and has held several management roles over the years in the African region.
He was most recently the Regional Manager for the Minerals Business in Sub-Saharan Africa (South Africa, Mozambique, Zambia and DRC (South) overseeing activities in Oil and Gas as well as Agriculture and Food.

Johan started as Managing Director in July 2022.
