Located in the city of Osh, within the Osh region of Kyrgyzstan, our laboratory provides sampling and certification of shipped coal, as well as outsourcing services for coal laboratory management.
Coal samples are prepared for analysis and analyzed at SGS’s laboratory at the production site of Besh-Archa LLC. Analyses include total moisture, ash content, volatile matter yield, total sulfur and heat of combustion, in accordance with the standards described in the interaction regulations.
Analytical reports, for any period of time, are also prepared at the lab.
Arbitration samples and samples for SGS are stored in the SGS warehouse.
Laboratory equipment includes a Loip LF 7/11-G2 7L 1100oC muffle furnace with a 7L chamber. It is designed for heating, sample preparation in chemical analysis, quenching and firing of materials in air to a set temperature within +1100 °C.
A special feature of this model is the presence of a ceramic muffle that insulates the material or product from contact with fuel and its combustion products.
A programmable microprocessor temperature controller provides highly efficient heating and precise temperature maintenance in the working chamber.
The lab boasts an ELTRA CS-580 analyzer, an ideal analyzer for simultaneous determination of carbon and sulfur content in organic materials. The temperature can be set with an accuracy of 1°C up to a maximum of 1550°C. As large attachments of 500 mg and above can be used, even heterogeneous samples can be analyzed stably. The analyzer can have a maximum of four independent infrared cuvettes, in accordance with customer requirements, allowing many different tasks to be performed.
