Integrity is at the center of our ethos at SGS. We strive to meet high ethical standards and ensure that our activities around the world are conducted in accordance with internationally recognized best practices.
To help us achieve this, we have created a compliance program based on our Code of Integrity.
It is the personal responsibility of each SGS employee to read and understand the Code and commit to uphold its principles. Employees are required to follow an integrity training each year via an eLearning or a face to face session organized locally. New employees should complete a specific eLearning module “Doing Business with Integrity” which introduces the SGS Code of Integrity as part of their induction.
Annual Mandatory Training for All Employees
To help SGS staff integrate our values and principles into their day-to-day work, we have introduced two mandatory training programs. Our Annual Integrity Training Program consists of an eLearning training with a quiz. This training is a very positive and productive way for us to communicate our values, and it encourages employees to test their knowledge of the SGS Code of Integrity and to find solutions using every day scenarios. By running this training program every year, we refresh and motivate our staff, and ensure that our Code of Integrity remains at the center of the service we offer worldwide. A record of all employees participating in the training is kept to ensure that all members of staff complete this essential training. Each employee must complete a quiz at the end of the eLearning and receives a certificate of completion upon successful completion of the eLearning.
eLearning for New Employees
Our interactive eLearning program provides employees with a comprehensive understanding of the principles and values found in the Code of Integrity and shows them how to integrate them into their day-to-day business activities. All new SGS staff members worldwide must complete this mandatory training, which is available in multiple languages, during their induction period. After being presented with the Code, new employees are required to successfully complete a quiz, after which they are presented with certificates of completion.
Violations of the Code
If you wish to report a suspected violation of the Code, you can call the Integrity Helpline, file a written report online or send your report by fax, email or post.
