About Germany’s Dual Training System
Germany’s vocational education and training program, also known as the dual training system, combines theory with on-the-job work experience. You will gain the theoretical knowledge required for your future career at a publicly funded vocational school, while obtaining practical experience in a real life working environment. You will receive a monthly salary from the company you are working for.
Dual training usually lasts between two and three and a half years.
